Officials from the Ethiopian Capital Market Authority, the ministries of Justice and Trade, and various security agencies are members of a newly minted task force charged with maintaining the integrity and safety of public offerings and securities trade.
Officers of the Federal Police Commission and the Financial Intelligence Service are also members of the Capital Market Integrity Task Force, which will be responsible for “identifying and bringing to justice companies and promoters who engage in deceptive and illegal share offering practices.

Representatives of the five government institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today. Present at the ceremony were Brook Taye (PhD), director-general of the Authority, Gedion Timotheos (PhD), minister of Justice, Muluken Amare, head of the Financial Intelligence Service, and Zelalem Mengiste, deputy head of the Federal Police Commission.
