Under the deal, Tsehay Bank, known for its inclusive motto “For All,” is now St. George FC’s official financial sponsor. Yared Mesfen, Tsehay Bank CEO, expressed excitement over the pairing, noting the bank gains exposure to the club’s massive nationwide following.
Key to the agreement, Tsehay Bank services will streamline club operations. Fans can pay membership fees through the bank, simplifying transactions. Players and staff will also have salary accounts through Tsehay.
To boost engagement, Tsehay branches will sell match tickets and club merchandise, like iconic shirts. The bank receives branding on St. George’s social media, newspaper, radio show and communications.
Vital infrastructure support also comes via Tsehay Bank. St. George FC can access a 40 million birr loan for developing training facilities, crucial for long-term success and development.
